This 1980 Hess Training Van is almost as nice as they get.
The box is crisp and straight with virtually no wear.
The Van has been stored in the box since new and is perfectly white with no yellowing.
Unfortunately, there is one major problem:
The truck was stored with the batteries installed. The batteries have leaked, causing the electronics not to work.
The bottom picture shows the corrosion inside the battery compartment.
Some of the battery acid also stained the lower box insert.
If you want a nice truck for display and having working lights is not important to you, this would be a great truck. It has no missing or broken pieces and it looks like new.
The box has both inserts and the battery card.
